Comments from Parents
Over the years, PowerFlashCard has received many email comments
from parents who used the software as an early childhood education
tool to teach their children to excel in learning. We also received email from parents who care for brain injured, such as autistic, children.
Their heroic efforts to help their children are the true force behind
the
program. It is worth all the efforts if only PowerFlashCard can help in a small way.

Hi Ms Hung Shar, 7 months ago, during our regular visit to the doctor, we were told that our second son seems to miss out on his miles stones and she would placed him under "Autistic Spectrum Disorder" category. It was a horrible reality to take in and we try many means to try to remedy his problem. We went to Malaysia for treatment with a Chinese physician who claims that he has heal many autistic children who comes to him. It was an expensive experience but after 3 months of treatment and medication, it did not help much. Right now, our son who is 27 months old does not respond to his name and would not care if he is left out in a public place where there are total strangers. He would not even look for us.
I am just wondering if your flashcard would be helpful and would you be able to give me the application for free?
Thank you.
Regards,
Anthony
My reply to Anthony
Anthony,
thanks for contacting me. I couldn't imagine what it takes to care for a child that has autism. I am sure you are doing all you can and never give up. I hope my program would give you some help in getting your son back. It takes persistent efforts. Don't give up if he does not respond. Keep flashing. Don't run it too long also. Make a schedule, run 5 minutes for three times a day is what I normally recommend. Do get the book by Dr. Glenn Doman for details. Adjust schedule according to the child's response.
This is your user id xxxxxxxx. Launch the program, from the drop-down menu, select Action/Enter User ID, and plug in the ID. Let me know how it goes.
Best wishes,
Shar

Juliana Ong- Singapore
Dear Shar,
Hello! My name is Juliana and am living in Singapore. My niece has Cerebral Palsy and early last year we went to Somerset in England for help with her condition. It was there that we we discovered the Doman method. It has helped her tremedously along with her physiotherapy. Her left hand which was previously perpetually clenched can now open and she has progressed from creeping to crawling! Everyone has been so amazed at her progress but I feel that it is also the extended family network which has helped trememdously. There is always enough people around to help her with her program! As u can imagine, patterning requires more the a couple of strong able bodied people! I am so glad that someone like yourself has taken the time to develop a program like which can help children like her. I noticed that you have very generously offered free access to parents with brain injured children. I am not her parent but I do help with her program four times a week. In light of this, is it possible to waiver your charge?
Thank you for your kind consideration. I look forward to your reply.
Yours sincerely,
Juliana

the parents. ... (I am a) mother of a 33 months old boy. More than a year ago, I started to make slides with MS power point for my son to teach him English and Chinese words, math and BOI. Now he's a happy independant reader with 3000 over vocabulary and math lover , number below 1000 is not a problem for him.

I have tried your program, it is realy good tool for teach my four month daughter and she like it so much. Because I am a Chinese, so teaching my baby Chinese character is important. But your program does not support Chinese input. (It does now.)
